Exo. 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. Mat 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. Mat 15:5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; Mat 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. God thought it important enough to make the support of the parents a commandment, and Jesus thought it important enough to point out a bypassing tradition. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. Act 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Act 4:34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, Act 4:35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. This describes 'Socialism' it is 100% Socialistic! and if you read on in acts, it was a death sentence to hold back any of the money from the sale of your own property. So the next time you may want to wrinkle up your nose when you say 'Socialism' ask "What would Jesus think?" This is what Jesus advised the rich man to do with his money.
Social Security will last as long as any politician wants to be reelected!
